Our Team

At Bayside Chiropractic, PC, it is our daily goal to provide friendly, gentle and effective chiropractic care for your family. We strive to provide a safe, nurturing, family friendly, inclusive environment for all of our patients. This includes greetings and scheduling with our multi-lingual front desk staff, and the gentle whole body techniques our doctors use on all ages. We include lactation support with our CLC’s and all of our doctors are trained to diagnose tongue-ties and to perform corrective cranial work to facilitate breastfeeding and proper facial development.

Our typical patients include far more than adults and older adults with low back, arm or neck pain. They include, weekend warriors who have over done it, pregnant mothers, rough and tumble kids, high school and college athletes with concussions, college students with text neck, we are here to help you live with less pain and move more freely.

Dr Paul O'Brien Headshot - Bayside Chiropractic

Dr. Paul O’Brien graduated from Logan University. Dr O’Brien has achieved Advanced Certification in Sacro Occiptial Technic and Soft Tissue Orthopedics. He has also had extensive training in Craniopathy, Pediatric, Pre-Natal and Postpartum care. He is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), and Sacro Occiptial Research Society International (SORSI) and The International Chiropractic Association (ICA). He enjoys treating all ages from newborn infants, through childhood and adolescence, as well as adults and older adults. He is known for gentle whole body treatments that prevent as well as address injuries from life’s daily activities.

Dr O’Brien is trained in Webster Technique and also utilizes Logan Basic and SOT® Methods to treat the typical pains and discomforts that come with any pregnancy. The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment for Pregnancy. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation and or SI joint dysfunction. In so doing neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is improved. This can resolve breech positioning.

Dr O’Brien has become a regional resource for Pediatric Tongue-tie diagnosis and cranial treatment. He works closely with dental professionals who provide frenectomy services when necessary.

Dr Schaffer Headshot - Bayside Chiropractics

Dr. Meghan Schaffer graduated from Logan University in 2010. She is advanced certified by Sacro Occipital Research Society International (SORSI). She has also had extensive training in Craniopathy, Pediatric, Pre-natal and Postpartum care. She enjoys working with infants, children, adolescents, adults and older adults to obtain and maintain optimum health. She is a professional member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and SORSI.

Dr. Schaffer also has a particular interest in treating the discomforts of pregnancy. She uses Whole Food Nutrition, essential oils and Traditional Chinese Medicine along with her skills in Sacro Occipital Technic and Cranial Sacral Therapy to treat pre/postpartum mothers with gentle and effective care. Dr. Schaffer has also completed an advanced post-graduate training series in Pregnancy and Pediatrics with an emphasis on cranial care.

Dr Chelsea Sickel Headshot - Bayside Chiropractics

Dr. Chelsea Sickel received her bachelor’s degree in biology at Kent State University, where she played varsity field hockey for the Golden Flashes. She then completed her Doctorate of Chiropractic at Life University in Atlanta, Ga.

Dr. Sickel has been a member of Sacro Occipital Research Society International and International Chiropractic Pediatric Association since 2013 and has brought her passion for working with pediatric and pregnancy patients to Bayside.

Additionally, Dr. Sickel has a background in sports and functional rehab and performs food sensitivity testing for patients of all ages including nursing babies.
